Fall Inspiration: Textured Sweaters
Yesterday I got an email from Madewell with a link to their new fall collection which contained these textured sweaters and I was instantly drawn to them. The white one in particular since it contains a perfect amount of texture and appears to be a cardigan/jacket hybrid. I was texting with Kate, Karen & Jaime later that evening when Karen reminded me that they're similar to the Ulla Jonnson sweaters from Fall '16 / Pre-Spring '17.
Now I'm contemplating if I can achieve something similar, though maybe a bit less 'alpaca escaped from the field' than some of these are. I've always loved the texture of the Ludlow scarf, it reminds me of the white Madewell sweater above, sans fringe.
Knowing that I have no idea what I'm doing, Kate & Karen pointed me in the direction of a few links having to do with the loop stitch and wearing tapestries which I'm linking below. Will this turn into anything more than a blog post? Who knows, but at the very least it was fun looking at these photos and reading the links!
