First Fair Isle Process 01
Prior to making my Coronal Hat, I had plans for the First Fair Isle sweater from the winter 2015 issue of Arimisu. I swatched and was slightly unhappy with my tensioning of the yarn over the floats so I decided to do a smaller, simpler fair isle project to ease into things.
I was about to cast on for my sweater a few nights ago, in fact I got a the first 20 or so stitches cast on, when I got an email about a special project I'll be working on this fall. Due to the nature of the project, which will be revealed later this August, I needed to have not knit a top down sweater before, so onto the back burner this went and out came my yarn for Martine by Julie Hoover.
While I'm sad that I won't get to see the beautiful color patterns reveal themselves till later this fall, I am pretty glad to be knitting with cotton during this scorching, humid summer we're having!
