Got my long tail tubular cast on going and I’m ready to get snowed in! I’d never done this type of cast on before and once @kategagnonosborn set me straight on my hand movements for the proper technique I got it done. Sorry to @allysondykhuizen for the 30 min of “back front back, front back front” she had to listen to before knit night last night. This sweater is Rainier by Kelbourne Woolensin their yarn Scout. It’s colorwork so I’m going to alternate between it and my Addison because I can’t always be paying attention to what I’m making!

Second pic is a closeup of the tubular edge so it’s lightened up a ton. Charcoal yarn is so hard to photograph!

Thought I was going to get some knitting done tonight but my hands hurt from a weekend full of colorwork and Oaty needed a pillow. So instead I helped my dad set up a fundraising page for his 62 mile diabetes bike ride in Madison this summer. Now I need to go to bed but getting something done just makes me want to get more work done!

I've been trying to take a better photo of my Rainier progress but it's rolling up hard so this is the best I can do till I block it a bit. I am SO OBSESSED with this stitch pattern! Finished up the cuff of one sleeve last night! This is my second attempt, my first did not go so well. The combo of decided to give magic loop another go due to lack of size 6 DPNs and accidentally held the wrong yarn on top which resulted in a disaster. I called in my knit support group and, thanks to them, got things sorted. Phew!
